Sommer 2009 began very modestly with months of uncertain weather prevailing, sometimes good, sometimes heavy rain. This time I'm on the way to Wetterstein. We want to climb "Wolke 7" and "Knapp+Köchler", two of the best classic routes in the Wetterstein. We have already postponed our plans once before because of bad weather but this time the weather should hold. Interpreting the weather forecast for the next days is not easy, nevertheless three days good weather seems to be probable. The well bolted routes we choose are not extremely long but technically sustained on perfect rock. Nearly all the pitches require a certain determination to succeed, there are few 'easy going' pitches for the body and mind to recover on. The climbs were awesome and we loved every minute of it! We spanked the Wetterstein and finally we reached to the last belay in a good temper and we smoked on Wetterstein!
